Support sits just below spot price
Polkadot traded at $0.9420 on Binance on November 2, 2026, with daily S1 at $0.9417 under pressure. The daily bearish structure remains intact. Price is below every major daily moving average, and hourly momentum is weakening rather than confirming a recovery. The market backdrop does not help. CoinGecko puts total crypto market capitalization at $2.60 trillion, down 2.78% in 24 hours, while Bitcoin dominance is 59.95%. Alternative.me’s Fear & Greed Index reads 37, which is Fear. That tells us risk appetite is soft, but it does not explain the cause of the $DOT move.
Moving averages keep the daily bias bearish
$DOT is below its daily EMA20 at $1.05, EMA50 at $1.07 and EMA200 at $1.12. Those averages are aligned bearishly, with shorter averages under longer ones. Reclaiming nearby pivots would repair only the first layer of damage. The hourly chart tells a similar story. Price is below the hourly EMA20 at $0.9519, EMA50 at $0.9532 and EMA200 at $0.9899. On the 15-minute chart, price is also below all three EMAs, but those averages are not aligned. That makes the short-term structure untidy rather than a clean bearish stack. A brief bounce would not necessarily contradict the daily bias.
Momentum is mixed across timeframes
Daily RSI is 36.9, below neutral but not oversold. The daily MACD histogram is still negative, though it has narrowed over the last three completed readings. That suggests downside momentum is easing, not that bulls have taken control. The hourly chart is less helpful. Hourly RSI is 42.4, and the MACD histogram has crossed from positive to negative. On the 15-minute chart, RSI is 35.2 and the histogram is also below zero. Perhaps the cleanest takeaway is that daily momentum allows for stabilization while intraday momentum still weakens the recovery case.
Key levels define the next test
The nearest support is daily S1 at $0.9417, followed by hourly S1 at $0.9383. Overhead, the hourly Bollinger lower band at $0.9427 is now resistance. Above that sit the hourly pivot at $0.9487, the daily pivot at $0.9503 and daily R1 at $0.9617. An hourly close above $0.9487 would give a credible rebound trigger, opening a test of $0.9503 and then hourly R1 at $0.9543. An hourly close below $0.9417 would invalidate that rebound setup. A daily close below $0.9417 would confirm a support failure, putting $0.9383 in focus before the daily Bollinger lower band at $0.9054. A daily close above $0.9503 would invalidate that breakdown scenario. Daily ATR is $0.07489, compared with $0.008371 hourly and $0.004583 on the 15-minute chart. I would not treat a live-price dip through support as confirmation; the gap between price and nearby levels is small enough for ordinary volatility to matter.
